That's why when Atlus announced that a Shin Megami Tensei game was coming to Switch, we couldn't be sure that it would be Shin Megami Tensei V. Well, obviously today has come, and so has that promised reveal.

Questions over what the live announcement this morning would be-which included remasters of the old titles or potentially a new Persona-were put to rest as soon as the stream began.

Atlus already teased it was working on a Shin Megami Tensei role-plainyg game for the Switch.

Pokemon Go Halloween Event 2017
The other 3rd Generation Pokemon from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will begin to appear in Pokemon Go starting in December 2017. Those of you who like to dress up your avatar will appreciate being able to don the all-new Mimikyu Disguise Hat.

Atlus' long-running post-apocalyptic RPG series - which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year - is to get its fifth instalment, with Shin Megami Tensei 5 being confirmed during a brief trailer. And that was the end of the whole thing in its entirety. All we really know now is what we already knew before - that a SMT game was being made for the Switch. Even though a new Shin Megami Tensei title can be found on all "most anticipated Nintendo Switch titles" we had nearly no idea as to what it will be. There really wasn't any new thing revealed except that it would be a main numbered game.

A release date has yet to be announced.
