Stranger Things video game looks surprisingly great

Fans of horror and sci-fi had even more reason to be delighted by the show, which featured many references to popular genre films, in addition to the overall tone honoring the likes of Stephen Spielberg and Stephen King. The locations included in the game are Mirkwood Forest, Hawkins Lab, and Jim Hopper's home. There are elements of combat and puzzle solving, and players will be able to unlock more characters with different skills as they progress in the game.

With its retro aesthetic, sense of adventure, and fun characters, Stranger Things is pretty much begging for a video game adaptation.

It looks absolutely wonderful.

The game is available now for iOS and Android devices and is completely free.

What are your initial impressions of the free Stranger Things game? As you can see, this Target-exclusive release puts Stranger Things' first season into a package meant to resemble an old VHS tape - very #on-brand for this series - and includes some sort of mini-poster.

For example, Lucas "can nail anything with his Wrist Rocket" while Nancy has a range of bats in her possession that she can use to defend herself. The game sports 16-bit graphics and is an adventure game that seems to be set during the events of the first season of the show.

Stranger Things 2 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp.

If you're even a slight fan of Stranger Things, and that 31 October season 2 release date is exciting you, then Stranger Things: The Game is a must-play.

In case you've been living in the upside-down for the last few weeks, the second season of "Stranger Things" is imminent. You can take a little bit of nostalgia on the go with you thanks to a new mobile game.
