Nintendo is riding high on the success of its newest game console releases, the biggest of those being its hybrid Switch system that is suitable for both gaming on the go, and when sitting in front of a big screen TV.
Nintendo was loud in announcing a massive firmware upgrade for the Switch and it comes with the title Version 4.0.
In an earnings report from earlier in the year, Nintendo set its Switch sales forecast for the fiscal year at 10 million, but a combination of a steady stream of great game releases and a superior advertising campaign compared to the Wii U's has pushed the console beyond the company's initial expectations.
Once beaten down by the rise of mobile games, the Kyoto-based company now expects to quadruple its group operating profit to 120 billion yen for the financial year ending March 2018.
The strong performance of the Switch has also led to Nintendo raising their sales forecast for its latest console.

Some have found it hard to buy a Switch because of supply shortages.
Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishama said: "We have boosted Switch production in order to meet strong demand from our customers as it was hard for customers to buy the consoles at retail stores".
Not only can the handheld console be brought outdoors, the removable controllers allow two people to play. Software sales for the 3DS were also up, but not by as much, with Nintendo selling almost 8 million games.
Helping with Nintendo's solid sales of its Switch console have been top-selling titles for Nintendo's software, which include top-ranking title: "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild".
