New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to field in the third and final One-Day International against India here on Sunday.

After the ODI series, the two teams will be locked in a three-match T20I series.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (25) and Kedar Jadhav (18) kept the momentum going until the end but New Zealand's batsmen were always in the hunt.

"Particularly Tom Latham, from opening the batting and coming into the middle-order, taking that role, adopting it like he has and batting so beautifully is a great sign for us".

Right through the chase, the visitors were in the contest but they could not clinch the match because none of the batsmen were able to convert their starts and conjure a big total which would have allowed New Zealand to reach the target. Asserting his dominance once again over the New Zealand bowlers, Kohli plundered 113 runs off 106 balls to combine with opener Rohit Sharma who also regained his lost touch after struggling early into the series scoring 147 of 138 deliveries to help India post 337 runs in the allotted 50 overs.

Charges approved in Russian Federation influence investigation
The grand jury then reportedly issued subpoenas about a 2016 meeting between Trump Jr., Kushner, Manafort, and a Russian lawyer. Congressional investigations into alleged Russian involvement in the presidential election are also underway.

Kumar bowled Nicholls for 37 and Bumrah soon took over to dash New Zealand's hopes of winning their first series on Indian soil.

Williamson said it was "hard to swallow", but he was clearly holding his head high.

"But I think if you step back and look at the work that was put in in that batting innings, to get so close and for it to become such a fine line, I think it's a really promising thing".

Virat Kohli has been stitching up his own records and one such record came on Sunday when the Indian cricket captain became the fastest batsman to get to 9,000 ODI runs.

On the other hand, Kohli Slams his 32nd century and crossed 1400 ODI runs this year.
