Ahead of the busy holiday season, Whole Foods Market wants to add 6,000 employees across the country on November 2nd. The goal is to hire 6,000 people to work at stores across the country.
The grocery store chain says it'll be offering "on-the-spot" job interviews at all of their locations Thursday, Nov. 2, and will even offer some candidates jobs on the spot. Full, part-time, seasonal and permanent positions are being offered to interested applicants at all of their USA locations.
Whole Foods has 20 locations in New York state, the majority of them in the New York City area. But this recruitment push will be run entirely by Whole Foods, said a spokesman.
Company will give non-smoking employees 6 extra days off
There are other ways to incentivize employees to quit smoking, according to The Midwest Business Group on Health . Overall, smoking is still quite prevalent in Japan, with nearly 20 percent of over-20-year-olds saying they smoke.
Amazon just reported its tenth straight profitable quarter: sales were up 34 percent to $43.7 billion, $1.3 billion of which came from Whole Foods Market.
Potential applicants are advised to apply online before heading to the store to save time, and also bring a copy of their resume to the interview.
