The Roberval, Quebec, native has notched three points (1g, 2a) in five games with the Predators this season, his first in professional hockey.

By the beginning of the 2017-18 season, it had become widely believed that Avalanche GM Joe Sakic would finally pull the trigger on the deal soon. "Weve said all along that we wanted to be patient and wait for the right deal, and this is the opportunity we feel is best for the organization".

The Predators and Avalance both have 16 points on the year, while the Senators have 17 points. Even so, Duchene's Colorado career ended with him finishing in the top 10 of many statistical categories in Avalanche history: Games played (6th), goals (4th), assists (6th), and points (6th).

Kamenev, 21, was a second-round selection (42nd overall) of the Predators in the 2014 NHL Draft and has spent the previous two campaigns with the Milwaukee Admirals. That's way down from the previous season, in which he put up 30 goals and 29 assists in 76 games. Duchene apparently learned of the deal during the game because he left the ice during the first period, as medical staff was helping injured Colorado winger Blake Comeau to the dressing room. Captain John Tavares also has been red-hot, recording multiple points in five of his last six contests (14 overall in that span) after notching a goal and an assist against the Capitals.

The SOHR said government troops and allied fighters were among the casualties of Friday's clashes. There are approximately 140,000 Druze in Israel, including 20,000 in the Golan Heights.

Duchene's swift exit seemed sudden, but he suspected something might happen, having been the subject of trade rumors for months. Elliotte Friedman says Ottawa.

I'm watching the Avs-Islanders game on the Avalanche TV network. Duchene was yanked from the game at the end of the first period, immediately after the trade was finalized.

Duchene is moving to the Eastern Conference.
