PBS cuts ties with Rose after misconduct claims

That is why we have taken these actions. I'm really proud to work at CBS News. Rose's bathroom behavior, which allegedly involved summoning underlings to him as he bathed, became so well-known by the women that they gave it a nickname: "the shower trick". "This followed the revelation yesterday of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior said to have revolved around his PBS program", the memo states. "PBS does not fund this nightly program or supervise its production, but we expect our producers to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect", a spokesperson said.

"Instead, the exchange felt to me like a cross-examine focused on one issue, the book's sexual harassment allegations against Roger Ailes", Kelly stated.

In the immediate aftermath of the Post's report, CBS News announced it is suspending Rose and PBS said that it would halt distribution of his show. That said, Charlie does not get a pass here ... One said he groped her buttocks at a staff party. "It was deeply disturbing, troubling and painful for me to read".

Both King and O'Donnell applauded the courage the women must have had to take steps to speak up about what happened to them.

O'Donnell added, "Let me be very clear".

"This I know is true: Women can not achieve equality in the workplace or in society until there is a reckoning and a taking of responsibility. This behavior is wrong, period".

CBS, on which Rose has co-anchored CBS This Morning since 2012, has suspended the journalist pending an investigation. The accusers, who ranged in age from 21 to 37 at the time of the alleged encounters, were not employed by CBS or PBS.

The longtime TV anchor is accused of making lewd phone calls, groping and walking around naked in front of women without their consent.

Congress leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi passes away
The name of Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi was included in the 90-member campaign committee for the West Bengal assembly elections in 2016. The former MP and Information and Broadcasting Minister had suffered a stroke and a paralytic attack since the last nine years.

Charlie Rose's morning show co-hosts on CBS are shaken by the sexual misconduct allegations against him, but say they support the women who have come forward to tell their stories.

"There are striking commonalities in the accounts of the women, each of whom described their interactions with Rose in multiple interviews with The Post", the newspaper points out.

One of the women, Kyle Godfrey-Ryan, alleged that Rose would walk naked around her while she worked as his personal assistant, and claimed he would sometimes describes fantasies about her.

She also recounted cases when he would talk about how he fantasied about her swimming naked in the pool at his house as he watched, she told the newspaper.

"I have held him in such high regard, and I'm really struggling, because what do you say when someone that you deeply care about has done something that is so awful?" "But the thing about Charlie Rose is that he would commonly require his employees to come over to his private homes", Brittain said.

In a statement to The Post, Vega said she should have done more to protect the young women on the show.

"I certainly echo that", King said.
