An Army jawan was killed during an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said. We will try to kill people involved in spreading militancy.
Raju said the M4 is used by North Atlantic Treaty Organisation forces as well as by the Special Forces of the Pakistan Army.
"How it (M4 carbine) came into the hands of this group, the matter will have to be taken up through different channels with concerned embassies". An army trooper was also killed earlier. "It is being used for social media objective by militants to show they have big weapons", IGP Muneer Khan said when asked if the AK 47 was still "relevant" at a press conference in Srinagar.
"It is for the first time that M4 carbine has been recovered in Kashmir. It is shorter than M16 and is little more effective then M16 in terms of range and it is lighter in weight", he said.
