That's because Fredette got into it with former National Basketball Association star, and current CBA legend, Stephon Marbury.

In a game between Marbury's Beijing Fly Dragons and Fredette's Shanghai Sharks, Marbury committed a hard foul on Fredette, who was attacking the basket on a fast-break chance.

As Fredette was going up for a layup, Marbury knocked the ball out of his hands.

Fredette clearly didn't appreciate the contact, shoving the 40-year-old in retaliation. Also, how awesome is Fredette's jersey?

In his second season in China, Jimmer Fredette has continued to take the league by storm. Although no punches were thrown during the altercation, Fredette and Marbury had to be separated by players and referees. The former BYU star has averaged 50.3 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in his last three games.

Marbury, meanwhile, was a prep legend who played one season at Georgia Tech before being drafted fourth overall in 1996.

Fredette finished the game with a triple-double-54 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists-while Marbury had four points, six rebounds, and four assists. He spent part of the 2015 season with the Knicks. Marbury turned 40 this past February and announced this season would be his last in China after parting ways with the Beijing Ducks, a team that made him a legend overseas, complete with everything from a postage stamp to a musical in his honor.
