President Donald Trump's endorsement of Republican Senate hopeful Roy Moore has emboldened support for the embattled candidate by some within the GOP - but not all. The divorce was finalized on April 19 and a permanent custody judgment was released on January 9, 1989.
The Alabama Republican is facing several allegations of sexual misconduct with teenage girls when he was in his 30s. And it has a history of pushing that bandwagon when their campaign hits the final furlong.
Even the "moderates" in the Republican Party are not moderates. The 14 year old told a couple of people about the sexual assault back at the time it happened.
"The accusations against Roy Moore have been horrifying, but not shocking".
This is now the GOP's brand.
MI congressman John Conyers accused of sexually harassing staffer and her cousin
Conyers, who was first elected in 1964, easily won re-election previous year in the heavily Democratic 13th District. Conyers, 88, was hospitalized last week for a stress-related illness after returning home from Washington, D.C.
By late November, however, with pressure mounting from Bannon and other corners of his base, Trump was making clear that he preferred Moore, raising doubts about the candidate's accusers and criticising Democrat Jones as the "liberal puppet" of Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
"The brazen assertion Monday by one of President Trump's lawyers that a president cannot be found guilty of obstruction of justice signaled a controversial defense strategy in the wide-ranging Russia probe, as Trump's political advisers are increasingly concerned about the legal advice he is receiving".
It's hard to tell if the Republican party is more evil or stupid, since they set new records in both categories on a daily basis.
Mr Moore has called himself the victim of a "witch-hunt", and on Tuesday referred to "fake news".
"The days of taking it silently are over", Bannon declared at the rally, which drew hundreds of Moore supporters to a local farm in the southwestern corner of the state. While some have softened their rhetoric recently, others have said they still will try to expel him if he is elected.
In that same vein, longtime Alabama Senator Richard Shelby said Trump's endorsement didn't surprise him. That's Roy Moore's entire modus operandi, and the Republican Party is willingly backing him.
Trump first appeared to back Moore after his first choice, Senator Luther Strange, lost the GOP primary for the seat. These atavistic dinosaurs provide oxygen to the insane conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton ran a child sex dungeon out of a pizza shop, then heartily endorse a child molester. But recent polls show people are either ignorant or confused, with 89 percent of likely Alabama voters pinning the allegations on "newspapers and the media" and 10 percent having never heard of them at all.
