McGregor responds to Pacquiao fight speculation

Pacquiao said earlier this month that preliminary talks had begun over a boxing match between him and McGregor.

The UFC lightweight champion can now boast to be sharing the same list with legendary boxers such as Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Evander Holyfield and, of course, Mayweather himself.

"I think a true fight is what I want to do next", McGregor said.

Since the title win, a transition to professional boxing would take place and McGregor would suffer a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather this past August. And what about the WWE?

"I can do a three or four fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars".

"We'll see what happens", McGregor told TMZ in NY on Friday.

Heyman | Tigers to trade Ian Kinsler to Angels
The Tigers acquired Kinsler from the Texas Rangers after the 2013 season in exchange for Prince Fielder and cash. Because the deal has not yet been announced, it's unclear who the Angels sent to Detroit .

"A real fight, what's a real fight?"

You couldn't blame McGregor for tossing up the idea of boxing again.

"F-- the WWE", McGregor said.

McGregor, however, is under contract with the UFC and the organisation's president Dana White shut down any chance of that happening. Even though he was no match for Mayweather, the man who makes no bones about being in the fight game for the money left Las Vegas with a much beefier bank balance.

McGregor has been locked in negotiations with the UFC on his return to action but the two sides have yet to come to an agreement yet. He has not fought in the Octagon since November 2016, and he has never defended a UFC championship.
