On Tuesday, the chain said it will start testing beer and wine delivery in certain cities.

The director of brand marketing for Pizza Hut Stacy Lynn Bourgeois said the pizza chain was excited about offering delivery of beer and wine, calling it a convenience for its customers.

Oh, and fun fact: if you're sitting there wondering how your delivery driver is possibly going to show up with a hot pizza and a cold beer, know that Pizza Hut is a few steps ahead of you. Every beer option will be priced at $10.99.

With 1,726 Pizza Hut stores nationwide that have a liquor license, the chain has plans to expand the service rapidly in 2018.

"The company's delivery system and allows Pizza Hut to eliminate any third-party vendor to provide a smoother, faster delivery experience", said Pizza Hut in a statement.

CNN Money found that two of its competitors - Papa John's and Domino's - appear to offer only water and soft drinks for delivery, according to their websites.

Nevertheless, the move by Pizza Hut to offer delivery of beer and wine will take a bit of logistical coordination. Numerous company's restaurants already have the necessary license to serve and distribute booze.

Pizza Hut will also have to make sure that all its drivers that deliver beer and wine are 21 years of age or older.
