Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their engagement with the release of their first official portrait photos.

Harry and Meghan's photos aren't just loving, they are also sexy. "The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives", Kensington Palace wrote on Instagram.
How do these compare to past royal engagement photos?
The release of the pictures comes after Meghan spent the day with Harry and members of the royal family at Queen Elizabeth II's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. In December 2010, Prince William and Kate Middleton released their own pair of engagement portraits, which were shot by Testino at St. James's Palace in London.
The second photo showed the couple in a tight embrace, sporting giant smiles as their heads touched.
