"If this were a Christmas movie, this would be the part where you winked at the camera and disappeared and we realized that you lived inside of us the whole time".
Saturday Night Live closed out the year with a Trump family tree trimming in which Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump and Cecily Strong's Melania Trump decorate the "Tree of Shame" with ornaments bearing the faces of those who've left the administration during the past year.
"That's right, I quit", she said.
Baldwin's Mr Trump declared he had had an "amazing year in office, the greatest year in the history of America - and maybe the entire planet earth".
Replied Pence: "Oh I don't like that song because it mentions gay apparel".
Next up is White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Aidy Bryant), who offers not one but two ornaments. "This angel's got Robert Mueller's face on it, cuz he's next!" she says.
In the Trump segment, Scarlett Johansson makes a surprise guest appeaerance as Ivanka Trump, to extended applause by the audience.
Adrian Peterson disappointed about going on IR, plans on 2018 return
Then, he fell back to earth, failing to rush for more than 79 yards over the next three games before suffering his neck injury. Before the Titans game, Peterson shared a video on Instagram that showed the exact play where he suffered his injury.
"I will always remember that one time I heard him talk", Johansson continued.
On husband Jared Kushner, Johansson's Ivanka said, "He's packing a go bag before the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrives".
Leslie Jones later appeared as Omarosa Manigault Newman, who was a "villain" on season one of Trump's former show The Apprentice and whose departure from her job as a White House aide was announced last week, although some reports say she was sacked.
"He's packing a go bag before the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrives", she says. "Nobody kicks Omarosa out of the White House!". "We gotta cut off the head to kill the snake and I should know because I'm a mischievous little mongoose".
The Trump boys then emerged (Alex Moffat and Mikey Day) to produce a bevy of other former White House employees and introduce "Elf on a Shelf" Jeff Sessions (McKinnon, again), a tiny, red spandex-adorned sprite on the mantel over the fireplace.
Merry Christmas from the Trumps!
