Soul Calibur VI announced during The Game Awards 2017

One of the key new gameplay changes is the introduction of "Reversal Edge", which allows players to "defend against the opponent's attack and directly counter with a powerful strike highlighted through a dynamic camera". The new Sou Calibur game is slated for release sometime in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The sixth main entry to the Soulcalibur series has been speculated to appear at numerous events since its 2012 predecessor, always being noticeably absent to the displeasure of its fans.

The SoulCalibur franchise debuted on December 20, 1996 on the original PlayStation with Soul Edge. However, this does mean that we'll probably be seeing fan favorite characters return to their Soulcalibur one roots designs.
