Bruno Mars took home album of the year for "24K Magic", record of the year for the single of the same title and song of the year for "That's What I Like".

Rapper Jay-Z goes into Sunday's awards show with a leading eight nominations, mostly from his soul-baring "4:44" album.

The two stars won three awards each during the pre-telecast on Sunday.
