For the first time, Camila Cabello - whose first solo album drops January 12 - has explained in detail why she finally chose to quit her former group, Fifth Harmony, in December 2016. The singer left in December 2016. "It definitely hurt my feelings", the 20-year-old told the publication.
Things deteriorated further when she started going to writing sessions with Diplo, Cashmere Cat and Benny Blanco and got an ultimatum.
"I was just curious and I wanted to learn and I saw all these people around me making music, writing songs and being so free.I just wanted to do that and it did not work", she said.
So that's when she made a decision to say goodbye to the girl group and in her eyes, "if anyone wants to explore their individuality, it's not right for people to tell you no", she told the publication. "I don't like holding onto the past".
Camila - who watched the show live with her mom - was "hurt" by the clip, and "wasn't prepared" for the diss at all.
Nintendo Switch is getting two more Wii U ports
The new addition for the Switch release comes in the way of the super cool, surfing Funky Kong and a new "chill" mode of play. Nintendo announced today that the game will be coming to their console this Spring, with the release date set for May 4th.
With a stage drop heard 'round the world, remaining 5H members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui began their choreographed performance by tossing a shadowed fifth member (who looked JUST like Camila, btw) off of the stage and into the depths below. Along with taking home the coveted moon man for the best pop video the year thanks to their hit single "Down" featuring Gucci Mane, powerhouse girl group Fifth Harmony threw some serious shade at their former bandmate.
Sadly, Cabello said she would have like to stay with the band but it became impossible because she chose to follow her passion.
Confident enough in her tenure as a solo artist to discuss the nasty split, Cabello finally dished on her side of the drama. "It makes me want to get up and dance".
"I just love that attitude, there's a vibrance here that makes me feel good. If you pull from all the different little parts of yourself, nobody can replicate that".
Cabello's debut solo album, Camila, is set to be released on Friday, January 12. Your records make me smile'. And I love them together but they were super cool.
