The 2019 Ford Bullitt Mustang is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 which gave the edition an extra 15hp over the 2018 Mustang GT. As a further nod to the original, the Mustang Bullitt has subtle chrome accents around the front windows and grille, 19-inch torque thrust aluminum wheels housing Brembo brakes, minimal badging, a cue ball shift knob and a black leather interior with green accent stitching.
"This new Bullitt is, as Steve McQueen was, effortlessly cool", said Mustang chief designer Darrell Behmer in a press release by Ford. Wearing a dark green paint job, black wheels and not a single "Ford" badge anywhere one the body, the Bullitt Mustang was just icy cool. The new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show. In the movie, Frank drove a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback GT which had nothing particularly exciting about it. The Mustang Bullitt also gets an active valve performance exhaust system with Black NitroPlate exhaust tips, Open Air Induction System, and the Shelby GT350's intake manifold. The added performance is courtesy of an active valve performance exhaust system with new Black NitroPlate exhaust tips to make it look as well as sound cool, and retuned to give the auto a signature burble.
It's not the first time Ford has created a new interpretation of the Bullitt; back in 2001 the company rolled out a limited run model which packed more performance than the Mustang it was based on at the time. During the launch event, fans were able to see another film featuring Molly when she was introduced to the Bullitt Mustang.

To celebrate the launch of the new vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford brought along one of two original Mustangs that were used during the filming of Bullitt starring Steve McQueen.
Two identical 1968 Mustang GT fastbacks were used in the filming of the classic Warner Bros. movie "Bullitt" that debuted in theaters on October 17, 1968. The 1968 film "Bullitt" stars legendary actor Steve McQueen and has one of the best vehicle chase scenes in film - ever. There are only a few options: the Bullitt Electronics Package (nav, memory mirror and seats, better audio, BLIS with cross-traffic alert), MagneRide, and Recaro seats trimmed in black leather.
