Frigid Weather Forecast for New Year's Eve Across Illinois

Weather service forecasters say actual air temperatures are expected to fall to -15 degrees on Sunday and Monday nights in parts of central IL. A Wind Chill Advisory is also in effect from 10 p.m. this evening through noon Monday for all of the Four State region.

Tonight's low is expected to be around -2 degrees, and wind chills ranging from 10 to 25 degrees below zero will make it unsafe for anyone to spend extended time outdoors on New Year's Eve without proper attire, according to the National Weather Service.

2018 is going to start on the bitterly cold side.
