Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract at the Nou Camp.
Having recently lost Brazilian superstar Neymar in an aggressive contract buy out by Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona have put a 500 million euros ($611 million) buy-out clause in Pique's new contract.
The defender has won all possible trophies with the Blaugrana: three Champions Leagues, six La Liga titles, five Copa del Rey, five Spanish Super Cups, three European Super Cups and three Club World Cups.

Its goal is not to serve truth and justice, but to preserve Israel's control over the Palestinian people. Human rights organizations in Israel and around the world have criticized Israel for arresting the teen.
Barça will further announce the date of the actual signing in the coming days.
Pique has worn the Barcelona jersey in 422 games scoring 37 goals for the club.
Barcelona confirmed the news of a contract extension on their official website: "FC Barcelona and player Gerard Piqué have reached an agreement to renew the player's contract through to 30 June 2022".
He will be hoping to add to his medal collection in the current campaign and over the years to come, with Valverde's side perched back at the top of the La Liga standings and chasing down another Champions League crown.
