Newport County v Tottenham Hotspur Betting Preview

Newport sprung a shock in the third round when they dumped Championship side Leeds United out of the FA Cup and are eyeing an even bigger upset, again on home turf, tonight.

With the Premier League title well beyond their reach, Spurs will look at the FA Cup as an avenue to get their hands on a trophy come the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur will face-off against Newport County this evening. Joss Labadie and Matthew Dolan are not certainties for this tie.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is without a number of players at his disposal including Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks, Serge Aurier, Erik Lamela, Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris.

Mauricio Pochettino has named a strong side for the game with Harry Kane starting alongside Fernando Llorente up front.

Jose Mourinho signs extension with Manchester United
If Mourinho does stay until 2020, it'll be the longest he's stayed at a club in one single stint. If you cannot afford, you have to say "no, sorry, can't do that".

Pochettino has also hailed Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko, saying: "He is the only player who gives or provides balance in those transitions - offensive to defensive, defensive to offensive - in the team". This likely means starts for Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker-Peters, and Tashan Oakley-Boothe was spotted training with the first team this week.

Newport haven't beaten top-flight opposition since they beat Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup in 1964.

Tottenham have won by at least three clear goals in four of their last five victories and the 11/10 (2.10) quote for Spurs (-2) in the handicap market could well represent good value.

Apart from one solid display against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, there has been very little from the 32-year old to make him stand out.

The two sides will be facing each other for the first time since consecutive cup meetings in 1959 and 1960, with Spurs winning both times.
