Wind Chill Warning & Advisory: in effect for multiple Mid-Michigan counties. On top of that, gusty winds will make the wind chill dip as low as -25 at times. This means there is a potential for dangerously cold wind chills capable of inducing frostbite in as little as 30 minutes or less if not properly bundled up.

Temperatures will rise to around 15 by Sunday morning.

The next chance for snow will be Monday as a weak cold front moves through. That might mix with some sleet or rain in spots too. Forecasters say winds will finally diminish on Sunday and temperatures should climb into the 40's by the middle of next week. 50s next Friday with rain? High: single digits, Near 10 shoreline. Lows will fall well below zero again for tonight. Winds will continue to be out of the northwest at 10-15 miles per hour, so wind chills will be below zero.

The temperature hit minus 36 degrees Fahrenheit - with a wind chill of minus 90 (minus 68 degrees Celsius), according to the educational and research institution in New Hampshire.

The incredible part of this intense burst of cold - and what makes it more intense (though not as long-lasting) than our last blast of arctic air - is the risky wind chill will continue through most of the day on Saturday, meaning the frostbite threat will continue even as the sun shines, then mixes with building clouds.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, bitterly cold but not as windy. Tuesday and Wednesday are pretty similar with partly cloudy conditions, and daytime highs in the low 30s. Expect temperatures to soar into the 60s under mostly cloudy skies.
