The sixth (and now final) season of House of Cards has been a rocky road to reach.
Robin Wright, meanwhile, will be the center of the final season.
House of Cards Season 6 picks up (spoiler alert) with star Robin Wright's Claire Underwood in the Oval Office, a result of the previous season's political machinations.
Storylines for the show have been re-written to remove Spacey from the show entirely. Naturally, Netflix was quick to distance itself from the actor, leaving the show's future hanging in the balance.
Unfortunately, we do not have any specific details on Lane and Kinnear's characters, but we do know they will play brother and sister.
Helicopter crashes into Southern California home
A woman who lives in the neighborhood heard the crash and ran outside to witness the immediate aftermath. A nearby resident told the local ABC7 news channel it "sounded like a train coming through" .
Mr Kinnear is known for roles in films such as 'As Good As It Gets, ' for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, 'Little Miss Sunshine, ' and the miniseries 'The Kennedys'.
Spacey, who starred as Frank Underwood for five seasons, was sacked in October, shortly after RENT actor Anthony Rapp accused him of predatory sexual behavior when Rapp was 14. Netflix suspended production on the upcoming sixth season before ultimately dropped Kevin Spacey from the cast. It remains to be seen, however, what characters the "Man of Steel" actress and "The Last Song" actor will be playing except the fact they will play siblings.
Throughout the series, Spacey's Frank Underwood frequently broke the fourth wall to address viewers directly, sharing his innermost thoughts.
The series was created by Beau Willimon and is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth, with MRC as the studio, for Netflix.
But the streaming service announced Wednesday that production had resumed on the series, for what would be an eight-episode final season.
