For Ethernet the upgraded LAN7515 chip is used to deliver Gigabit Ethernet support. Despite only having a slight difference in name to the Raspberry Pi 3 B, it actually features significant performance improvements.

Wireless connectivity is also greatly improved thanks to the inclusion of a Cypress CYW43455 "combo" chip and a Proant PCB antenna, which is very similar to the one used on the Pi Zero W.

Raspberry launched its latest raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ on March 14, 2018. Now comes the Model B+ with extra features like upgraded processor, power-over-ethernet, 802.11AC and Bluetooth 4.2 to name a few.

The Raspberry Pi is created to be cheap and efficient, so it's never been a processing powerhouse.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) wasn't supported on the Raspberry Pi boards until now. The new processor is not only faster, but also comes with a heat spreader and power integrity optimizations to better manage the temperature. While the 3 Model B+ doesn't represent a drastic change over its predecessor, it does make some improvements where they count most. This model includes several useful improvements over the old Model B, but it keeps the same $35 price point.

Venus Williams moves into third round at BNP Paribas Open
Collins, ranked 116th and making her first appearance in the main draw, is just starting her second year on the WTA Tour. After that, she's lost all three matches to Serena - including last year's Australian Open final.

The B+ model is the most powerful Pi product so far and it manages to combine the advantages of all the previous ones.

Alongside a 200MHz increase in peak CPU clock frequency, the new Pi supports roughly three times the wired and wireless network throughput, and the ability to sustain high performance for much longer periods.

Around 19 million Raspberry Pi units have been sold over the past six years, with the Raspberry Pi 3 accounting for around half of those. Writes Upton: "We will shortly launch a PoE HAT which can generate the 5V necessary to power the Raspberry Pi from the 48V PoE supply".

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ still has a full-sized HDMI port, four USB ports, and an audio jack. The New Raspberry Pi 3B+ will not yet be available in South Africa until ICASA approval has been received due to its WiFi capability.
