The 23-time Grand Slam singles victor is ramping up her return this week by playing in Indian Wells, her first WTA Tour event since she won the 2017 Australian Open.
Former world number one Serena Williams is gearing up for her long-awaited return to a competitive WTA event at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California on Thursday. "So, I expect her to be at full flight".
"It's definitely better than I could have ever imagined", Williams told the Tennis Channel, about motherhood.
She went on to explain that she wants the pins to have more than just supportive meaning for herself and her charity, but for whoever decides to wear one.
"I have this undying drive to be the best that I can be", she said.

Sophia told Teen Vogue that she thought the Tumblr post made by her orthodontist was "hilarious". "I'm going to kill myself". Little did she know her dentist would share the anecdote on Tumblr. "I would scream", she said.
"I can't go and say I expect to lose because that is something I will never say".
"We are very excited by the news and it is in line with the efforts we are making to promote the sport", she said. "Thanks for the support I look forward to seeing you out there!"
In fact, Williams could make a good living out just of playing exhibition events like the Tiebreak 10s at MSG. If you asked her 10 years ago if she envisioned herself playing after the age of 30, Serena would have replied no.
Williams, a victor of 23 Grand Slam titles, is in the same quarter of the draw as older sister Venus. It marks her first WTA match since winning her 23rd Grand Slam in Melbourne past year. Navratilova further added that Serena's game style is something that will help her get back to the top.
"They are for now only available for my fans that come see my at Indian wells, and Miami starting Wednesday as well as Thursday when I play!"
