Allman has been critical of Hogg, who has become the face of the teen anti-gun movement following the mass shooting at his Parkland, Florida high school on February 14 which left 17 people dead.

The radio station is affiliated with the Fox News network, and as such, generally hosts conservative commentators such as Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Brian Kilmeade, and shows such as "Coast to Coast AM with George Noory", and "This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal".

KDNL-TV has canceled "The Allman Report" and accepted Jamie Allman's resignation, according to a brief statement from Ronn Torossian, a spokesman for the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which operates the TV station.

She took the break soon after advertisers distanced themselves from The Ingraham Angle due to an Ingraham tweet that ridiculed Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg.

On Monday night, Laura Ingraham cast the ongoing ad boycott against her show as part of "the left's plot to silence conservatives".

Impressive Blitzboks unbeaten in Hong Kong
Famed for a party atmosphere nearly unrivaled in the world of sport, Fiji enjoys the annual trip to Hong Kong more than most. Kenya Sevens have beaten New Zealand to cruise to the final of Hong Kong Sevens where they will face Fiji in title decider.

Liberty Mutual, one of Ingraham's top advertisers, called the Fox News host's comments "inconsistent with our values as a company".

Allman was absent Monday from his radio show. Many companies, like online travel site Expedia and Johnson & Johnson, pulled their advertising amid the controversy. She further said Hogg should be proud of his 4.2 grade point average and invited him to return to her show for "a productive discussion". Ingraham later apologized to Hogg, but almost 20 companies pulled advertising from her show, which she returned to last night after a week's vacation. There is no plot to silence conservatives, no. Soon, the Twitter account of the pro-Trump host was locked and no one could view his tweets. "It's time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children".

"We've had people all over Missouri (and) all over the country weighing in on's heartwarming to know that tons of people throughout the state understand this is not acceptable", Newman told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Monday.

And it represented the potential of yet another public relations crisis for Sinclair, which has come under harsh criticism in recent weeks after a video of dozens of its anchors reading the same mandated and seemingly Trump-esque script about "fake stories", went viral.

Jeff Allen, the program director for FM NewsTalk 97.1, did not respond to an immediate request for comment.
