Meanwhile, the Cowboys have hosted three potential first-round wide receiver prospects for pre-draft visits in Calvin Ridley of Alabama, D.J. Moore of Maryland and Christian Kirk of Texas A&M.
What will Bryant's market be like?
The Cowboys selected Bryant with their first-round pick (24th overall) in 2010. In his eight-year stint with the Cowboys, Bryant caught 531 passes for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns.
He last had at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season in 2014.
According to Cowboys columnist Mickey Spagnola, Bryant said "I'll see (you) guys twice this year" as he exited the meeting, hinting he might already have plans to sign with a division rival. That's a huge wow?? take 2 I'm ranting and going off on the media whenever I'm just being normal Dez in my everyday life. For Bryant, he'd get good money at a time when it's not actively flowing and more than the Cowboys paid for Hurns, his replacement. While pairing Bryant with veteran quarterback Tom Brady will remind Patriots fans of Hall of Fame wideout Randy Moss' stint at Foxborough, it would be impossible since New England is now deep at wideout. There is enough cap space for a short-term Bryant stint, which could take some pressure off A.J. McCarron and a prospective rookie challenger. As we noted in last week's draft column, they have been immersed in this year's ho-hum wide receiver class, with access to some of the top talent in 2018. The free-agent crop at receiver was thin yet again, and some teams still have some holes to fill.
Bryant needs some work to make this happen.

I think our target was to stay in the top four and we are fifth. 'These are the small details we have to change. Antonio Conte's side just have the FA Cup left to salvage their season.
Bryant signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the team in 2015. He had 31 receptions for 401 yards and 3 TDs. Injuries have been a factor as well.
Meanwhile, Dez Bryant is only 29-years-old. Which leads us to.... There's not a physical specimen in the mold of Bryant, and for that opposing defenses will lick their chops. Like all Diva receivers he thinks he's open even when he's not open and wants the ball force fed to him.
Also in case you haven't notices, the New England Patriots aren't exactly sitting in a circle holding hands singing kumbaya at the moment.
And that's great, provided Bill Belichick is your de facto defensive coordinator, and Tom Brady is your quarterback. Dez can be, how do we put it....hard to deal with and may not improve the current dynamic in Foxboro.
Do the Patriots have a need at receiver?
Washington Redskins fans need to understand that a making a move for Dez Bryant for the right price is smart, and will make the team better. Patterson is a return specialist while both Britt and Dorsett likely factor in somewhere on those special units as well.
