"This advocate was brought in by the BJP government with malafide intentions and to see that the accused persons get acquittal". The reasons for his decision are not known.

According to local outlet NDTV, after initial investigation by the local police, the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which filed a charge sheet. These were the men who were acquitted by the court on Monday. However, only five of them - Devendra Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Swami Aseemanand alias Naba Kumar Sarkar, Bharat Mohanlal Rateshwar alias Bharat Bhai and Rajendra Chowdhary - were arrested and faced trial. All allegations could not be proved against any one of the accused. All the five accused were present in the court when the verdict was pronounced.

Former RSS worker Sandeep Dange, RSS activist Ramachandra Kalsangra and electrician Amit Chouhan are absconding. The other two will now be freed from jail.

Aseemanad was acquitted a year ago in the Ajmer Sharif blasts case.

The NIA had placed heavy reliance on Aseemanand's confessional statement in which he had said that he chose to come clean was after meeting with one youth called Abdul Kaleem. Long delays also result in key witnesses turning hostile or even dying of old age or other causes.
