The WWE Championship rematch between AJ Styles (c) and Shinsuke Nakamura will be a No Disqualification Match, meaning that the match can only end by pinfall or submission. Odd stuff. The main event for the night falls down to Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, as the two heavyweights battle it out for bragging rights and a future chance at dethroning WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar.

WWE embarks on a new journey starting with WWE Backlash 2018.

It will be interesting to see how this match is booked because the feeling is that Vince McMahon likes Cass and wants to push him as a top guy.

Jeff Hardy (c) vs.

-Daniel Bryan vs. Big Cass. It seems to be a holdover feud until WWE is prepared to get Bryan and the Miz going head-to-head for real.

WWE Backlash 2018 begins at 8.30 pm with the kickoff-show.
