Clippers Willing to Offer Tobias Harris, Pick for Kawhi Leonard

Leonard plays a lot like Kobe Bryant with the mid-range game as one of his strengths and his defense is unmatched.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski‏ reports that Leonard wants to play in his native Los Angeles - preferably for the Lakers - but of course the Spurs are not obligated to deal him there.

Leonard has only made two All-Star teams but is nonetheless regarded as one of the NBA's best players, even though he only played nine games past year because of a quad injury that drove a wedge between him and the Spurs over how to care for it.

Kawhi Leonard is one of several high profile National Basketball Association stars that could be on the move this summer. According to Carr, he may have already found the answer. Pluto points to five-time all-star Kevin Love as being good trade bait in general, but doesn't think a one-for-one deal of Love/Leonard would interest the Spurs much.

The Spurs are also in no rush to get a deal done to offload the former Finals MVP this summer and still retain some hope of keeping him as they can offer a supermax extension worth $219 million.

James and Leonard being on the same team does seem a possibility.

Two online sports betting sites - Bovada and Bookmaker - both set the Lakers as the team most likely to get Leonard.

The Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs drama is now at an all-time high, and if you were to say a year or so ago that the quiet and reserved Kawhi Leonard would be at odds with one of the best run organizations in basketball, everyone would have called you insane. James would have to commit to returning to Cleveland for any chance of a Leonard-Cleveland trade to be possible. Especially for a player that the Spurs are probably hesitant on moving.

Leonard can opt out of his current contract after next season and become a free agent.

Now, he apparently wishes to be traded, and the speculation regarding where he might end up is at a fever pitch.
