Demi Lovato is reportedly in a stable condition after being rushed to hospital following an apparent drug overdose.

Selena Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefey, sweetly took to Instagram on July 24 to post a throwback pic and heartbreaking message about Demi Lovato after the singer was hospitalized for an alleged drug overdose.

A representative for Lovato did not immediately return a request for comment.

The outlet reports Lovato was transported from her Hollywood Hills home this morning. Now, the website says that was not accurate and sources close to the singer say heroin was not involved.

People Magazine reported the singer was "stable". In a statement, they said, "In light of recent reports, we have made a decision to replace the episode of BEAT SHAZAM with another all-new episode".

Lovato's aunt, Kerissa Dunn, had posted on social media that Demi had woken up following being hospitalised, according to TMZ. Lovato walks out to the surprise of the contestants, rightly disrupting the proceedings.

And now? Now her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr.'s fiancée Darlene Blount has apparently been taken to jail. She also insisted there are not many people who would "refuse a pay check for talking about the royals".

A representative for Lovato released a statement Tuesday evening, saying that she was awake and recovering with family.

"I love you @ddlovato and I'm praying for your strength and health", Emmy Rossum added.

Lovato has openly shared her obstacles with fans throughout her recovery. "She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family".

Lovato was set to appear later Tuesday in a recorded episode of show "Beat Shazam" on Fox television and to perform Thursday in the East Coast gambling hub of Atlantic City.

The 32-year-old Pitch Perfect 3 star has had her own battle with drugs and alcohol addiction, and in a second tweet to a fan drew on that experience to reinforce the fact Demi needed a "support network". A song released in June titled "Sober" raised questions on the artist's sobriety.

The singer performed at the California Mid-State Fair on Sunday with her friend, Iggy Azalea. "I was very proud of her to see her write that song and put it out".
