An FBI spokesman in Atlanta said the agency was responding to a report received from US postal inspectors of a suspicious package at 400 Pryor St.in Atlanta - a mail facility.

The FBI has confirmed that a suspicious package recovered at a post office in Atlanta was addressed to CNN and was "similar in appearance to others".

It was a stark contrast to the man accused of a campaign of fear that continued on Monday as another suspicious package was intercepted Monday in Atlanta, addressed to CNN headquarters. CNN was already sent a suspicious package. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

The FBI said its bomb squad in Atlanta is responding to "a suspicious package" at the US Postal Service in downtown Atlanta. Law enforcement officials have said they believe the packages were staggered and more could be discovered. A judge set another hearing for Friday on whether to grant bail to Sayoc and to discuss when he will be sent from Miami to NY, where five federal charges were filed. He was expected to be formally charged on Monday.

The FBI said via its Twitter account that the recovered package in Atlanta was "similar in appearance" to the bubble-wrapped manila envelopes authorities say were sent by Sayoc to intended targets from DE to California, including former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Vice-President Joe Biden. Aaronson said he did not know what made Sayoc seem emotional but noted he is facing decades in prison if convicted.

"Though we are still analyzing the devices in our laboratories, these are not hoax devices", FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a press conference last Friday.
