In the camera department, the LG V40 ThinQ sports a unique triple camera setup. The triple rear camera features built-in AI features such as AI beautify, AI stabilization with Multi-frame HDR technique. The V40 ThinQ is the successor to last year's LG V30 and also the company's first phone to sport a total of five cameras.

If the whole interpretation of "Take 5" is accurate, then it would be the first time we'd be seeing a smartphone with five cameras.

On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary camera with a f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video callings.

There's no confirmed United Kingdom release date just yet but it's likely that LG will be bringing its photo-obsessed flagship to our shores within the next few months. Aperture wise, the main camera clocks in at F1.5 and shutter lag has been improved. At the back, there is a standard lens, a super-wide angle sensor and a telephoto sensor.

"The three lenses allow for shutterbugs to frame different shots without changing position relative to the subject", LG says. There are various other improvements made in the device, which makes it a much better option if you're thinking of getting it. Let's see some more details on it.

The rear camera uses three; a 16MP super wide-angle, 12MP standard angle and 12MP telephoto. The new feature is the ability to take a triple Shot which will allow you to create a short video or a GIF with the three images. It also offers portrait lightning features just like the iPhone. Support artificial intelligence, laser autofocus and LED flash included.

US Senate poised to confirm Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh
She said: "Thank you, Senator Collins , for standing by your convictions and doing the right thing to confirm Judge Kavanaugh". John Thune of South Dakota, a member of the GOP leadership, said he would be "very surprised" if Murkowski switches her vote.

The LG V40 ThinQ boasts a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision display. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an always-on display.

Powering the V40 ThinQ is the beefy Snapdragon 845 SOC with Adreno 630 GPU.

The novelty is presented in two versions with 64 and 128 GB of internal memory, respectively. LG has included DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, too, and unlike some other flagships out there, the V40 ThinQ has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone comes with MIL-STD 810G military-grade durability and has IP68 rating which makes it dust and water resistant.

The LG V40 ThinQ is powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset, with 6GB RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of storage, and a 3,300mAh battery. Rather than going with something over-engineered like the pop-up camera on the Oppo Find X, LG has stuck with a fingerprint sensor which is positioned on the rear, well out of the way of those cameras.

"Consumers will be able to experience a new smart life that makes high-quality contents fun and easy to share by installing differentiated cameras on a superior platform", Hwang Jeong-hwan, president of LG Mobile, said at a showcase event in Seoul on Thursday.

The LG V40 starts at $900 but that could vary depending on the mobile carrier.
