Rapper Cardi B charged in connection with assault in NY

The "Bodak Yellow" hit maker was charged with two misdemeanors, assault and reckless endangerment.

A public information officer from the NYPD told the publication that the incident occurred at Angels Strip Club at approximately 3 a.m. on August 29.

Cardi B has become one of the biggest new stars in USA music since the runaway success past year of her song "Bodak Yellow", which touches on her former life making ends meet as a stripper.

The site said that Cardi attacked the two women because she believed that they had slept with her husband.

The longstanding beef reportedly turned physical when Cardi appeared at the strip club in support of the Migos, who were performing at the venue. Police have not yet said she was directly involved in the fight but she is being questioned.

TMZ reports that Cardi will be charged with allegedly ordering an attack on two bartenders at a strip club in Queens, NY. Both women sought medical attention and reported the incident to police. The attack was "spontaneous" and was triggered after someone threw a drink.
