The new 4K streaming stick from Amazon features a quad-core 1.7GHz MediaTek chip that is over 80 percent faster than its predecessor.
The Fire TV Stick 4K will ship on October 31 and is now available for pre-order from Amazon for $49.99.
Add to all of that Alexa integration either via Amazon's new-and-improved Amazon Alexa Voice Remote or Echo device - and an unbelievable low sticker price of $49 (around £39, AU$68) - and you have a potentially strong contender for king of the streaming stick wars when Fire TV Stick 4K becomes available on October 31 in the USA and Canada and November 14 in the UK, Germany and India. On Wednesday, the e-commerce giant introduced its most powerful streaming stick to date and an all-new Alexa Voice remote.
Yale classmate accuses Kavanaugh of ‘blatant mischaracterization’ of his drinking at college
I knew Brett at Yale because I was a classmate and a varsity basketball player and Brett enjoyed socializing with athletes. As the investigation is not a criminal one, the FBI will not say whether it believes the allegations are true.
If you prefer, you can link your Fire Stick 4K to an Echo device and voice-control it that way, but the voice remote has been a victor for Amazon and that too has been updated.
The new stick is the first to support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, the company said. The remote is also compatible with all existing Fire TV devices and can be purchased separately for $29.99. Support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision will allow for greater picture quality, though you likely won't notice a big difference. Use your voice to control your Fire TV with the Echo, by giving Alexa instructions like searching for movies and pausing your show. All Fire TV devices have come with the original wand-shaped, microphone-equipped Alexa Voice remote for a while, and this represents the first significant update to the device. Units are set to start shipping on October 31. It's compatible with all the latest generation Fire TV hardware. It ships on October 31 in the USA and Canada and November 14 in the UK, Germany and India. Also, 4K TVs in India are available at a low price of Rs 36,999, so the newly launched 4K version of Fire TV Stick could get a good reception from the audience though.
