Democrats Nelson and Gillum lead in Florida, poll says

Democrats hold slim leads in Florida's pivotal statewide races in the final push to Tuesday's midterm elections, a poll released Monday found.

President Donald Trump could learn a thing or two from former President Barack Obama about how to handle hecklers.

Earlier Saturday, Trump campaigned in Montana, where he made it clear that he wants to see Democrat Jon Tester booted from the Senate on Tuesday over a personal grudge as much as political ambition. "They cut taxes for the rich just like the last time". He accused the administration of fear-mongering and distorting the truth to push its agenda on immigration. That's proof that he will protect the integrity of working class Floridians, Obama said.

Obama painted Gillum as a promising and charismatic candidate. "That's what he did".

Obama's visit follows President Donald Trump's rally last weekend in Murphysboro for U.S. Rep. Mike Bost, who faces a tight re-election race in a once reliably Democratic southern IL district that supported Trump in 2016. "The consequences of any of us staying home really are more unsafe", Obama said.

Trump, who is repeatedly called out for an unprecedented number of falsehoods and misleading statements, accused Obama of being dishonest.

Trump quickly fired back at his White House predecessor, saying the former president didn't keep his promises to voters.

Trump himself - who infamously pushed the falsehood that the country's first black president was not born in the United States - stands accused of driving Americans ever further apart, with nearly 8 in 10 black people surveyed by Quinnipiac in July judging that he is racist. "Don't do that in front of them, come on", Obama calmly responded to one heckler. We're going to resoundingly reject that kind of politics. "Trump's entertaining base versus actually caring about America". "They are even taking our fearless troops away from their families for a political stunt at the border, and the men and women of our military deserve better than that", he said. His focus has been the strong performance of the United States economy.

Trump defended a racist web video he had tweeted Wednesday depicting Democrats as responsible for an undocumented immigrant killing two police officers. "That is what they are doing right now all the time", he charged.

And if you haven't already, go fucking vote.

Police release recent photos of Saudi sisters found dead in NYC river
How did they end up in NY ? It's unclear when the women arrived in NY and where they were staying, the sources said. The sisters, originally from Saudi Arabia , were found clothed in fur trim coats and bound together with duct tape.

"And I say, all I'm doing is just telling the truth, what can I say?" he said.

From October 29 - November 4, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,142 Florida likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.

Gillum said he wanted voters to give him the chance to provide pay raises for the state's teachers.

Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee, could become Florida's first African-American governor with a victory next week.

Though Nelson is the incumbent, he does not have an overwhelming lead over the soon-to-be-former governor.

Republican candidates in 2018 have, quite obviously, gone in a different direction.

Besides encouraging Democrats to vote, Obama also tried to bring Republicans to his side. Trump noted that he also calls Florida home; his Mar-a-Lago estate is located in Palm Beach and he spends most weekends there in the winter.

"Who voted?" Trump asked the packed arena. The president subsequently was criticized for seeming to glorify violence against journalists. "When I won the presidency, at least my side felt pretty good".

Again, the audience howled, leading Trump to deadpan: "Then what the hell am I doing here tonight?"
