Customers of Wells Fargo nationwide have been reportedly unable to use their online banking or mobile app services early Thursday morning.

In a statement, the bank said ATM services have been restored and are available for customer use. As of 10 a.m., online banking services remained unavailable.

Wells Fargo's online banking platforms, including their mobile banking app, have experienced outages across all systems.

More details to come.

The US giant took to Twitter at about 9am EST to confirm an "issue", promising to research.

The Wells Fargo Twitter account tweeted after the outage had been impacting users for more than an hour. For instance, it said consumer credit card and mortgage balance weren't yet working. "We apologize for the inconvenience", it said.

As Business Insider points out, it's been less than a week since Wells Fargo's last technical difficulties.

Later, the company cited the incident at the facility as the wellspring for the shutdown, noting that they are "working to restore services as soon as possible". "As a result of the fire the servers had to be shut down", reported KULR-TV Montana citing a bank employee.

This is the second time in less than a week that Wells Fargo has had issues.

The online problems add to customer headaches for Wells, which has tried to fix damaged relations after revelations in 2016 that employees possibly opened 3.5 million unauthorized accounts to meet high-pressure sales goals.
