The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to trade former #1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jonathon Simmons, a top-20 protected first round pick in 2020 (via OKC) and a second-round pick (via Cleveland).
The 20-year-old has been out indefinitely since November 19 while rehabbing from thoracic outlet syndrome.
They traded Jonathan Simmons and two draft picks for him. "There's a real possibility he's played his last game with the 76ers".
Google parent Alphabet hit by rising costs (WRAP-newseries)
The global market for advertising appears to be finite, and Google and Facebook already grab a large share of spending. Analysts said Google's core advertising business is starting to plateau, an indication of stiffening competition.
Thus ends one of the most disappointing tenures for a No. 1 overall pick with the team that drafted him in National Basketball Association history.
Fultz played in the 76ers' first 19 games this season, but he and his camp chose to sit out and rehab his shoulder that they claimed was never 100 percent.
Philadelphia has made significant moves this season, acquiring Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris to add to its established core of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons as it seeks to get ahead in an increasingly competitive Eastern Conference. Physical therapy was recommended for Fultz before returning to play.
Fultz who's just 20 years old has been in and out of the lineup with a nagging shoulder and wrist injury. If Fultz is able to recover some of the form the 76ers anticipated when the drafted him, he would conceivably be the point guard of the future.
