Usher & Rich the Kid Attacked at Recording Studio, Shots Fired

- At least three people were hurt in a shooting during an attempted robbery in West Hollywood Tuesday afternoon reportedly involving the rapper Rich the Kid. Usher was also inside the studio at the time of the incident, but was not involved.

TMZ report that "multiple shots were fired" with Usher - real name Usher Raymond IV - unhurt in the attack.

The attack was a robbery targeting Rich, who was outside the studio at the time. A rep for Rich the Kid revealed that he was doing okay after the incident, while one of his bodyguards was badly pistol-whipped.

A representative for Rich the Kid confirmed that the 26-year-old rapper is OK.

He said: 'Yes, I think we should have had more situations to score more goals , but we played against a strong team today in the second half.

According to law enforcement, the victims said three suspects confronted them in the passage behind the studio and "demanded their money and jewellery". The shooter was running away from the studio as he fired shots behind him.

Other famous musicians such as Quincy Jones, Billy Idol, Missy Elliot, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Marilyn Manson have also recorded music at the location.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department posted a description of the robbery but did not mention Rich the Kid or Usher in the report.

Police have no suspects and are still investigation what transpired outside of the swank studio in West Hollywood. Multiple gun shots were exchanged, and the assailant reportedly made off with cash and jewelry.
