The digital dictionary source responded to a Forbes report last July, that projected a then-20-year-old Jenner would become the "youngest self-made billionaire ever, " surpassing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at 23.

Jenner replaces Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest member of the "nine-zero" fortune club.

The reality star insists she "didn't expect" to be so successful when she launched her beauty business Kylie Cosmetics - which Forbes magazine values at at least $900 million - four years ago. "I did not foresee the future", Jenner said. But (the recognition) feels really good.

Jenner is the youngest in her famous, reality TV family, the Kardashians and the first to hit the billion dollar landmark.

The top of this year's Forbes annual list had some familiar names, with Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Bernard Arnault, and Carlos Slim Helu made the top five.

Whilst Facebook's financial reports indicated a 30 percent increase in revenues and 61 percent increase in year-on-year earnings, 2018 was plagued with the Cambridge Analytica scandal and data breaches which placed the United States social media giant under the scrutiny of both the U.S. and UK governments.

USA lawmakers are looking to have Meng extradited to the country so that she can face the charges in an American court. US President Donald Trump has suggested he could intervene in Meng's case if it helped resolve the trade dispute.

"I had such a huge platform, I had so many followers already and I had so many people watching me", Jenner told PAPER, adding that "the self-made thing is true".

Her success can mainly be credited to her sensational make-up line Kylie cosmetics which has enjoyed unbelievable success.

It's also estimated her business racked in about US$360m in sales just past year.

"I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything".

Since starting Kylie Cosmetics in 2015, Jenner, who owns 100 percent of the company, has created a beauty empire.

"My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it's time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that", she said.
