Up until he injured his calf on May 9, KD averaged a career best 34.2 points per game, 5.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.2 steals.

Golden State leads 3-2. And, the Rockets are trying to match that pace that KD and the Warriors were playing with through the first five games of the series.

Fast forward to this season and now it's Golden State that lost Kevin Durant to a calf strain in Game 5.

Golden State almost gave it away with an very bad third quarter, when the Warriors managed just 15 points and committed six turnovers.

With Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets hours away and Kevin Durant shelved for the series, Steve Kerr isn't ruling out any possibilities with the lineup. Each of the first five games of this series have been decided by five points or less. It would be a huge achievement to knock off Golden State - but far from one that would warrant a parade.

The Warriors, who have a 3-2 lead in the best of seven series, played in Houston on Friday night and would return to Oracle Arena for a deciding Game 7 on Sunday if needed.

Harden carried the Rockets back from a 14-point halftime deficit with a dominant third quarter. Harden may get his points, but without Tucker's effort on both ends of the court those point would've got them straight to a sweep.

Durant immediately hobbled towards the other end of the floor before exiting towards the Warriors locker room while accompanied by the team's training staff.

When it comes to pulling a rabbit out of the hat, nothing will top the Warriors' Thompson-led comeback in Game 6 over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference finals.

"I mean, I don't know", said Harden, when asked what happened. The Rockets need Paul to step up after the nine-time All-Star struggled in Game 5.

Harden is a big part of that this series, averaging 39.5 points per game in Houston, while popping for just 31.7 points per game in the three games in Oakland.

The Warriors pulled it off without Durant, whose 35.4 playoff scoring average was best in the National Basketball Association coming into the game. The team's diagnosis came early in the fourth quarter. The Warriors flew home from Houston later Tuesday so players could receive treatment and have some recovery time, and then it was back on the airplane Thursday.
