The jurors considered 12 criminal counts against Winslow: seven felonies and five misdemeanors involving the five women.

On Monday, Winslow was found guilty of one count of rape by force or fear, one count of indecent exposure and one count of lewd conduct, according to reports.

Former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow II, who set school records at the University of Miami while being honored as the nation's best college player at his position, on Monday was found guilty of raping a homeless woman past year, as well as misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and committing a lewd act related to other victims.

After a week-long deliberation, a jury in a San Diego courthouse found Winslow guilty on four of the 12 counts he has been charged with.

Former NFL and University of Miami player Kellen Winslow II, right, appears at his preliminary hearing on July 11, 2018, in Vista, Calif., on charges that include rape and kidnapping. Jurors also found him guilty of one count of lewd contact with the victim identified as Jane Doe No. 5, but they found him not guilty of a second count of lewd contact the same woman.

"They will come back with verdicts in five minutes or two weeks", San Diego County Superior Court Judge Blaine K. Bowman said, according to USA Today. Jurors went home less than an hour later and were ordered to resume deliberating Tuesday.

Earlier this year, while Winslow was out on bail, he was arrested for exposing himself to Jane Doe 5 at a Carlsbad gym. Prosecutors say he felt empowered by his fame to abuse the most vulnerable.

The two other counts of rape involve a 54-year-old hitchhiker and an unconscious teenage girl in 2003.

While Winslow was out on bail and awaiting trial, a 77-year-old woman reported that he had committed lewd acts in front of her at a gym in February.

That left open the likely outcome of convicting him on some charges and not others, according to three criminal defense attorneys, cited by Yahoo Sports, who aren't directly involved with the Winslow case but have followed it closely.
