This evening, Queen Elizabeth is welcoming President of the United States Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to Buckingham Palace for a state banquet in honor of their visit to the United Kingdom. In 2015, she wore it for her first state banquet in Buckingham Palace and past year, in 2018, she wore it to the state dinner in honor of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

The Queen chose an Angela Kelly gown for the state banquet dinner at Buckingham Palace, pairing it with a very special tiara.

The Duchess of Cambridge has taken the salute for the first time at Beating Retreat, a celebratory event showcasing the British Army.

For more on the royal family, watch the video below! The rubies in question were a wedding gift to Queen Elizabeth II from the people of Myanmar, who gifted her the coloured stones to celebrate her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip.

The sash marked her recent appointment as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO), a top title recently bestowed on her by the Queen. It was also a favourite of the late Princess Diana.

The Cambridges are expected to attend Trooping the Colour on Saturday 8 June and it's thought that their youngest child Prince Louis will make his debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF fly-past.

The Duchess of Cambridge smiled as she made her way into the venue.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry seemed not in the mood for the occasion. The tiara was created by Queen Elizabeth's grandmother, Queen Mary, in 1913. Later, the President and First Lady joined Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall for tea at their nearby residence, Clarence House.

Prior to the banquet, the Queen hosted a private lunch for Trump and his wife.
