'He's Home': Chelsea Appoint Frank Lampard as New Head Coach

Derby County Football Club can confirm that Frank Lampard has parted company with the club and has been appointed as the new Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club.

'I am immensely proud to be returning to Chelsea as head coach, ' he told the club's official website.

"As I say, everyone knows how I feel about the club, my absolute desire is to be here and work hard".

"It gives us great pleasure to welcome Frank back to Chelsea as head coach", she said in the statement announcing his appointment. Frank possesses fantastic knowledge and understanding of the club and last season, he demonstrated he is one of the most talented young coaches in the game.

Chelsea made the announcement on Thursday, few weeks after Maurizio Sarri left the club to take over the rein at Juventus.

The former England midfielder takes over after his debut managerial season in charge of Championship outfit Derby County, where he guided the team to the play-off final.
